How do I send Obsidian notes to Anki?
Obsidian → Anki plugins exist, but a portable path is: copy note text → generate cards → .apkg. That survives vault moves and plugin breakage.
Steps
- 1.
Select a note or section
Copy only the material you will review; leave evergreen essays out.
- 2.
Paste into the converter
Generate flashcards from the Markdown body.
- 3.
Normalize cloze if needed
If you used ==highlights== or custom callouts, rewrite critical facts as clear Q&A or Anki {{c1::}} cloze.
- 4.
Export and import
Download .apkg for Anki, or Open in Neurako for FSRS on mobile/web.
What carries over
- Note text you paste
- Not Dataview queries or block references as live data
- Not plugin-specific scheduling
