In Anki, a leech is a card you keep failing — by default after 8 lapses. Leech cards waste review time until you rewrite, suspend, or delete them.

How do you detect duplicates?

We normalize each card's front text (strip HTML, decode entities, lowercase, collapsed whitespace) and flag later cards that match an earlier front. This catches near-duplicates Anki's built-in duplicate check might miss.

Is my deck uploaded anywhere?

No. Parsing, analysis, and export all run in your browser. Neurako never receives your .apkg unless you choose Open in Neurako, which only sends the cleaned card list you approve.

What does the cleaned deck download do?

It builds a new .apkg containing every card you did not check for exclusion. Scheduling metadata is simplified — use it to prune problem cards, then re-import into Anki or Neurako.
